Introduction

This article describes how to install the Intel lingdong x86 image for Android * Jelly Bean, which can be used to develop the intel x86 architecture.

Prerequisites

Android SDK must be installed for the Android x86 simulator image. For instructions on installing and configuring the Android SDK, see the Android developer website (http://developer.android.com/sdk ).

Optional: Android-oriented X86 simulator images can be Accelerated using Intel Hardware Accelerated Execution Manager (HAXM. For more information, see the "optimization" section in this Guide.

CPU Acceleration (Acceleration)

Using intel VT-x technology, hardware-based virtualization can significantly improve the performance of Intel Atom x86 images targeting Android Jelly Bean.

If your computer is equipped with an Intel processor that supports VT-x technology, we recommend that you use Intel Hardware Acceleration Execution Manager (HAXM) when using this system image ). For more information about intel HAXM, visit: http://www.intel.com/software/android.

Note:Intel HAXM is only applicable to Windows and OS X operating systems. For Linux Hosts, you can use kernel-based virtual machines (KVM) to improve the simulation performance. GPU Acceleration (Acceleration)

Intel Atom x86 images for Android Jelly Bean can improve the performance of games, graphics-intensive projects, and user interface elements by leveraging hardware GPU features.

Note:The functionality and performance of GPU acceleration depend largely on the graphics card and graphics card driver on your computer.
