Intel notebook CPU model suffix explanation (M, U, qm, MQ, HQ, XM)

M: notebook dedicated CPU, usually dual-core. The first digit in front of M is 0, which means it is a standard voltage processor. If it is 7, it is a low voltage processor.

U: a low-voltage CPU dedicated for a notebook, generally dual-core. The first digit in U is 8, which is a low-voltage processor with 28 W power consumption (the power consumption of the standard voltage dual-core processor is 35 W ), if the previous digit is 7, it is a low-voltage processor with a power consumption of 17 W. If it is 0, it is a low-voltage processor with a power consumption of 15 W.

QM and MQ: (the fourth generation is changed to MQ): dedicated CPU for the notebook. "Q" is short for "Quad", that is, quad-core CPU. If the former digit of QM is 0, it indicates that this product is a standard voltage quad-core processor with 45 W power consumption. If it is 2, it indicates that this product is a low-voltage quad-core processor with 35 W power consumption. If it is 5, the main specification of the CPU corresponding to 0 is the same, but the integrated core graphics card has a higher frequency (such as 3630qm and 3635qm, the maximum frequency of the latter core display is 1.2 GHz, and the former is 1.15 GHz ).

HQ: a new generation of the fourth generation CPU. Its main parameters are the same as those of the standard quad-core CPU. However, it integrates the iris pro5200 series with unprecedented performance, the performance of this core display can be directly comparable to that of the mid-range independent graphics card. At present, there are three CPUs: i7 4750hq, 4850hq and 4950hq. Later, an i7 4702hq was launched, and the high-performance core graphics card was not integrated. It is a fuzzy positioning product.

XM: the most powerful notebook CPU with a power consumption of 55 W. "X" indicates "extreme". This type of CPU does not lock the frequency at all, so there is no limit to overclock when heat dissipation and power supply are allowed, even at the default frequency, it is also much more powerful than other products in the same era. This type of CPU is carefully selected from the factory after production, with excellent quality and perfect performance, but the price is very expensive. The wholesale price of a XM series CPU can be up to $1000 (about $3,400 for a common quad core ).

Note:

All of the above are laptop CPU and desktop CPU. The standard model generally does not have any suffix letters. If there is a suffix subtitle "K", it is a frequently-used version. If there is a suffix subtitle "X ", it is the top-level Ultimate Edition (the top-level CPU is 6 cores and 12 threads ).
