Dear ADSL Internet cafe customers:

First of all, thank you for using the ADSL (super one line) Internet service provided by China Telecom. At present, you are using the ADSL leased line to share Internet cafes with the Internet, here we would like to make a simple summary of system maintenance and troubleshooting methods, I hope to help you.

1. The premise for Internet cafe maintenance is that the computer, Hub, or switch, Nic, network cable, and other hardware are of reliable quality. Internet cafes must be equipped with dedicated technical personnel, you must be on call when you are not on duty.

Ii. Lan networking

A large number of facts indicate that Internet access failures in Internet cafes are caused by the inadaptability of the LAN sharing technology to ADSL, and are often manifested during peak periods and when the data traffic is large, it has a great impact on the operation of Internet cafes.

Internet cafes generally share the Internet through proxy servers (hosts). Specific software and hardware installation and configuration methods are not described one by one; however, we recommend that you use a dual-nic host (the two NICs should be different), that is, the ADSL terminal is connected to the host rather than to the hub; the proxy server software should pay attention to the * System (Windows2000 is recommended). The host is the core of the LAN and should be configured as high as possible on the hardware. In addition to debugging by technicians, do not directly use the host to access the Internet.

There are many uncertain factors in the LAN of Internet cafes. Even those familiar with computer networks may also encounter various difficult problems. Therefore, we recommend that the technical staff of Internet cafes learn more and learn more, gradually improve the maintenance level.

Iii. Fault Judgment and Handling Methods

ADSL Internet failures are nothing more than local (telecom company) faults and client (Internet cafe) faults, with fewer Local faults. We recommend that you use the followingProgramRun:

1. Make sure that no computer (including the master server) can access the Internet;

2. check whether the line indicator lights on the ADSL terminal are consistent with normal conditions. If not, disconnect the outer line from the telephone to check whether there is a dial tone. If no sound indicates that the outer line is disconnected, call 112 to report the line obstacle;

3. Check whether the LAN light on the ADSL terminal is on long. If not, check whether the connection network cable to the host Nic is plugged in;

4. Check whether the network configurations of the Host IP address, subnet mask, gateway, and DNS are correct;

5. Enable the ADSL terminal again;

6. Restart the host;

7. disconnect the LAN from the host, and only keep the connection from the host to the ADSL terminal (to see if network port congestion is caused by excessive LAN traffic ); you can disconnect the network cable from the Intranet card of the host and disable it (via Windows "Device Manager "). Enable another Nic for a moment, or restart the host. If the host can access the Internet but the fault reoccurs after connecting to the LAN, it indicates that the LAN is faulty and needs to be rectified;

8. In addition, pay attention to the power supply regulation used by Internet cafes. If the power supply voltage fluctuation range is too large and exceeds the applicable range of ADSL modem, frequent disconnection may occur. It is recommended that Internet cafes use voltage regulators to ensure voltage stability. (Generally, the voltage range that ADSL modem can adapt to is 200 ~~ 240 volts ). Especially in summer, the use of air conditioners leads to unstable voltage, so be sure to pay attention to it.

9. If none of the above issues are resolved, it indicates that the fault is not a user-end fault. Please submit a complaint to 163 online customer service center and we will handle it immediately.

It must be noted that ADSL Broadband Access requires a relatively high line. Therefore, the location closer to the ADSL node of the telecom company will certainly be stable and the Internet access speed will be faster. In some cases, due to the long distance, the line attenuation and interference are serious, it is difficult to achieve the desired Internet access effect. In addition, the ADSL line requires that the line ring resistance should not be greater than 800 ohm, And the Line Insulation and line ground insulation should be greater than 100 Mbps; do not enter the indoor section of the ADSL line along with the power cord used by the computer or air conditioner, at least 15CM apart. In addition, although ADSL allows simultaneous calls, we recommend that Internet cafes do not need to use ADSL lines as much as possible. It is best not to connect separators and telephones to prevent the influence of these transient noises on the line.
