Vro is a key device for enterprise-level network interconnection. It has a large data throughput and is very important. The basic performance requirements for level-1 routers are high speed and high reliability. To achieve high reliability, network systems generally adopt traditional redundancy technologies such as hot backup, dual-power supply, and dual-data tunnel, so that the reliability of routers is generally not a problem.

Enterprise-level routers connect to many terminal systems with many connection objects, but the system is relatively simple and the data traffic is small. The requirements for such routers are to achieve as many endpoints as possible in a cheap way, at the same time, it is required to support different service quality. Access-level routers are mainly used to connect small enterprise customer groups in the home or ISP.

Vro classification 4. vrouters are generally divided into "border routers" and "intermediate node routers" by network type"

It is obvious that the border router is at the edge of the network and used for connection between different network routers, while the intermediate node router is in the middle of the network, which is usually used to connect different networks and serve as a bridge for data forwarding. Because their respective networks are different, their main performance also has a corresponding focus, such as intermediate node routers because they need to face a variety of networks.

How can we identify nodes in these networks? It relies on the MAC address memory function of these intermediate node routers. For the above reason, when selecting an intermediate node router, you need to pay more attention to the MAC address memory function, that is, you need to select a router with a larger cache and a better MAC address memory. However, because the VBR may accept data from many different network routers at the same time, this requires that the bandwidth of the VBR be wide enough, of course, this depends on the network of the VBR.

Vro classification 5. performance can be classified into "line rate Router" and "non-line rate Router"

The so-called wire speed router is completely capable of smooth transmission based on the bandwidth of the transmission media, basically without interruption and delay. Generally, a wire speed router is a high-end router with high port bandwidth and data forwarding capabilities. It can forward data packets at a rate. However, some new broadband access routers also provide fast forwarding capabilities.
