Gartner recently released the 2013 version of the application Delivery Market Magic Quadrant Analysis, comparing the October 2012 report with the overall pattern of this year's latest report chart, the leader Quadrant is still the F5,citrix,radware three-strong. It is worth noting that Citrix is more close to F5, and Radware from the edge of the leadership quadrant last year, and this year Radware has significantly improved both in vision and execute performance. This is due in large part to the acquisition of Strangeloop.

Gartner says in its report that F5 is still the market leader in terms of revenue levels and innovation results. Its innovative results centered on the application lifecycle revolve around open APIs, such as Iapps, Irules, and Icall, while also improving platform performance. However, the complexity of the system is also beyond the capacity of some F5 channel partners and customers. However, after a few days of Gartner's report, F5 announced the introduction of its synthesis architecture for software-defined application services (SDAs), which includes three components, intelligent service configurations, simple business models, and high-performance service systems. And for the first time with Cisco ACI cooperation, a bit and Gartner "echoed" meaning.

Citrix in the ADC market progress is obvious, from the overall revenue point of view, Si Jie is the world's second largest ADC suppliers. The company has a portfolio of experienced global channel partners and is adept at promoting other products based on existing xendesktop and XenApp solutions for customer relationships. Citrix has also established alliances with Cisco and has succeeded in expanding its own revenue figures.

In the Challenger Quadrant, A10 Networks was the only vendor to be selected for this quadrant, and it was the first time since 2007 that the manufacturer had been selected for this quadrant. In recent years, Gartner has published the annual application Delivery Market Magic Quadrant analysis every year, but from 2007 to 2012, the application delivery Market Magic Quadrant has not been the challenger role. In the Magic quadrant of the latest edition of 2013, A10 networks finally filled the void. In the 2013 application Delivery Market Magic Quadrant analysis, Gartner noted that A10 has continued to perform well over the past year, and that the performance of the enterprise-class ADC market has been more interesting. It is growing from an ordinary supplier to a "fast follower" who intends to enter the market through a unique solution. A10 's product development approach focuses on creating scalable, high-performance platforms, and has just completed a platform upgrade to the ADC's All-new Thunder product line. It is also noteworthy that the company continues to implement feature expansion strategies in the latest software upgrades, including integrated Web application Firewalls (WAF), SSL interception, and other security features.

Visionary Quadrant, Riverbed also become the only one in this quadrant, unlike last year, has not seen Strangeloop figure, as mentioned above, strangeloop as a result of being bought by Radware from the list, but no other manufacturers enter this quadrant. Riverbed in 2011 through the acquisition of ADC suppliers Zeus Technology officially into the ADC market, and through the acquisition of web-optimized supplier Aptimize to launch its Stingray product line. Riverbed's main focus is on software implementation in ADC technology, and the company has made significant progress over the past few years by establishing a positioning for the Stingray programme in a large number of use cases. One of the most notable of these is the "micro-ADC" outcome, which allows multiple ADC instances to run in the same small computing system without the need for hypervisor intervention. Riverbed adopts a chargeback approach-not to dwell on specific implementations or the number of ADC instances.

In the niche player small role quadrant, deeply convinced that after last year was selected again in the Gartner Magic Quadrant. In the "2012 Greater China region (including mainland China, Taiwan and Hong Kong)" Market Analysis Report of the ADC (application delivery Controller, 47 layer switch) issued by Frost & Sullivan2013, we are convinced that the market share in mainland China is 11.6% and the third place is ranked. According to strong official information, as of November 2013, there are more than 2000 users of the application delivered products.

Of course, a lot of domestic network or security manufacturers are also gradually active in the ADC market, such as DCN, Venus Chen, etc., may be selected from the Gartner quadrant there is a distance, from personal feelings, I hope they play a world.

At the same time, fortinet because of the acquisition of Coyote Point Company on the list, Fortinet and array networks between the OEM cooperation, and therefore has the right to sell the latter's products, such as "Fortibalancer." The company also developed its own ADC products in the name of "FORTIADC". Coyote Point's products will continue to be sold through their own brands and channels, but these products are being gradually integrated into the Fortinet portfolio and changed to FORTIADC brands, and eventually replace all array networks product lines. Fortinet also acquired Xdn, a cloud-based global load-balancing solution provider whose products will be used to complement Fortinet's ADC lineup.

In addition to Fortinet and Kemp Technologies, the new list, although Kemp Technologies is a rookie who has just entered the Magic Quadrant this year, is not short on the ADC market. In retrospect, the company specializes in delivering cost-effective load-balancing solutions, with a small and medium enterprise market as its main development goal. But the company's ownership changes in the early 2012 years have brought an urgent need for a bonus infusion to help it further expand its research and marketing campaigns. Today, Kemp Technologies's share of small and medium-sized enterprises and large enterprise markets has grown rapidly, and it has met the threshold of the Magic quadrant in terms of revenue levels and customer base. Kemp's device-based solutions and software solutions support a variety of mainstream virtual machine management programs, as well as partnerships with Cisco Unified Computing Systems (UCS) and Dell to implement localized operations on the server platform.

It is worth noting that, compared with last year, Cisco failed to make the list because it announced it would no longer be directly involved in the market.
