Standard recovery
In standard recovery mode, the top data recovery software performs a quick scan and can recover most of the deleted files.
Interface
Part 1th: Drive list
List all logical drives and use the ' Letter: (volume) label ' format;
Part 2nd: Directory listing
' Scan result ' is the directory tree result of the scanner.
' Find results ' is the result of a ' find ' program. Click ' Find results ', and all found files and directories will appear in the ' File List ' (part 3rd);
Part 3rd: File list
All files and subdirectories will be listed here;
Part 4: Information Panel
Part 5th: Main Menu and toolbars
Use
Scan Drive
Select a drive from the list of drives and the scan process will run automatically. If you want to stop the scan process, click the ' Stop ' button. When the scan progress is complete, the files and directories will be displayed in the file list and directory list. If you select a drive that has already been scanned, the top data recovery software will not scan the drive again, but will display the files and directories found by the previous scan process. To scan a drive that has already been scanned, click the Rescan button.
Recovery
In the file list, select the files and directories you want to restore;
Click the check box to select or deselect a file, or use the pop-up menu to do these things.
Select a directory to store the files you want to recover;
Click the ' Restore ' button and the ' Select Directory ' dialog box will be displayed. Enter the destination directory in the dialog box, and the top data recovery software will restore the files to that directory.
Important: The destination directory may not be in the drive you are working on.
Scan 32
If the operating system is NT kernel and the drive format is FAT32, Windows destroys some important data when deleting directories and files. Top Data Recovery software displays these directories as ' corrupted ' with a red exclamation mark, which is difficult to restore. Therefore, Finalrecovery offers your unique ' Scan 32 ' technology:
Select a corrupted directory and click the ' Scan 32 ' button;
If ' Scan 32 ' succeeds, the corrupted directory will be opened and the red exclamation point will be removed.
Find Files
You can find files in the current directory and under its subdirectories by one or more search criteria, by file name, by date, and by size. If you are searching for more than one file, use ', ' to separate the file name. For example, in the above illustration, the top data recovery software will find all files that meet the following criteria:
File type is JPG, Gif, or BMP
File created in the last 7 days
The file size is between 500K and 1M
Hexadecimal view
You can view the currently selected file in the Hexadecimal view panel in 16 or text format, and the top data recovery software will display the normal header of more than 30 files (two bytes in the beginning) at the top of the ' hexadecimal view '. If the file header differs from the normal file header, it may be corrupted.
