Of course, this is mainly to introduce the way of downloading foreign websites, domestic sites are generally in the geospatial data cloud and Remote sensing market download. The foreign website (NASA official website) downloads the way mainly introduces two kinds. This article mainly aims at the first way, based on the complete one scene image downloading process (FTP tool). The next update is the way the client downloads (MATLAB and R) based on the MODIS Web service.

There are different ways to choose a range of images.

country→ Select data by country's administrative boundaries
tiles→ Select data by tile selection, or by the global row-by-column grid of MODIS data (also called the number of MODIS observations)
Validation sites→ by globally distributed validated observation sites or eco-network observation sites (can be combined with observational site data for research)
Draw Custom Box (Classic) → Select the selected data according to the user's custom drawing box (the classmate who has used the old version of the website to download will be familiar with this function)
Enter coordinates→ use latitude and longitude coordinates to select the data (this is similar to the old version of the site's download function), in fact, is the research area of four to coordinate.
Click on the arrow to select the tile. Next, "FILES". This step will list all of the data that meets the requirements, but because the previous search is too long and the web end is not fully visible, we are revising the relevant requirement data (select only 2010 years of data and choose to download the synthesized product).

Next is a new version of the site a relatively different place, where the "FILES", you can download data directly. The old version of the site generally need order, submit orders before downloading. This is more liberal than it used to be.

Now select all the data and submit the order.

But the new website now requires a registration account. So before downloading the data, remember to apply for a EarthData account (this is the more troublesome point, at present the author tested 163 and QQ mailbox, there is no way to receive activation mail. At present only the Google mailbox can activate, so must go to register a Gmail mailbox.
Note that you need to start the "Laads Web" under "My Application" in your account before you can submit your order.



FTP downloads must wait for the order to appear availlable to download. The official waiting time is 5min to 10 days. It's usually OK soon.
FTP download way, need to use FLASHFXP such software to download, there is a need for this software can be in the comments area to leave a mailbox.
