Introduction and practice of Microsoft cloud computing (Practice 40)

Thank God, the introduction and practice of Microsoft's private cloud are coming to an end today. Now, let's take a look at what we have done in practice. We will focus on the five sections (Aspects). The knowledge points are as follows:

Practice Section 1: managing private cloud Resources

This practice is mainly part of the functions provided by Microsoft private cloud. These features can be used to create a powerful, low-cost, and adaptive infrastructure, while demonstrating the characteristics of private cloud:

Availability and continuous online

Practice Section 2: managing private cloud capacity

After the private cloud is successfully implemented, you can make full use of the functions of Windows Server 2012 and System Center 2012 SP1 to expand capacity, or dynamically manage the load without stopping services. In these practices, we mainly have the following content:

Dynamically scalable load storage

Modify Virtual Machine Network Resources

Improve load with dynamic memory

Practice Section 3: private cloud Automation

This practice focuses on how to achieve efficiency through automation, gain control through self-service and delegation, and provide an infrastructure with a consistent management experience. In the Organization's view, the business unit owner wants to apply for the required cloud resources, and the data center manager wants to implement more efficient control over the entire environment through high automation. Important components used in this exercise are Service Manager, orchestrator, app controller, and virtual machine manager.

Practice Section 4: managing private cloud applications

This practice shows us how System Center 2012 SP1 provides in-depth application Insights Through dynamic reporting and monitoring to improve the service level of the data center. The final organization will be able to improve the root cause analysis process and reduce the time required to restore service operations. Users can provide better support for applications through operations manager and global service monitoring. This scenario demonstrates the seamless integration of operations manager, Visual Studio, and virtual machine manager to simplify the implementation of It's infrastructure and application supervision work.

Practice Section 5: gaining private cloud insights through reports

This practice will help organizations set reports and provide higher levels of business continuity and SLA with almost no downtime. It can gain more insight into the performance and usage of the infrastructure, and reduce O & M costs through accounting. Operations Manager, virtual machine manager, and service manager are used in this series of practices.

Configure SMB 3.0 sharing

Before implementing a high-availability private cloud solution, a storage platform that accepts all access is required to host high-availability services. This goal can be achieved in multiple ways, but for evaluation purposes, we will use a new feature in Microsoft Windows Server 2012: SMB 3.0, which can be installed as a feature.

1. Open the Server Manager, check that the dashboard has been opened, and select Add role and function.
