Introduction to DPM Disk Management (connect Remote Storage)

In the Last post, we talked about how to install the DPM Client Agent for the client being monitored, in this blog post, we will also focus on learning to configure the DPM storage disk, the storage used by our DPM server in this experiment, We chose the Remote storage device as the storage source for DPM data, so you need to configure the Remote Storage device before doing the following.

1, click "Start"/"admin tools"/"ISCSI initiator"

2, in the pop-up "ISCSI Initiator Properties" dialog box, enter the storage target location, in this experiment stored named "storage-01.virtuallab.cn", click "Quick Connect", in the pop-up shortcut menu, select "DPMDisk", click "Connect"/"Finish" As shown in the following figure;

3. Open the Server Manager window, select Disk Management, right-click the attached storage disk, and select "Online" as shown in the following figure.

4, as shown in the following figure right-click the disk completed online in the previous step, in the shortcut menu that pops up, select Initialize disk.

5, in the pop-up "Initialization Disk" dialog box, click the "OK" button, you can not partition the disk after completion;
