Software requirements: this plug-in is applicable to the eclipse Jee version and is not applicable to the standard Java version.
This article describes the installation process of the red5plugin plug-in on Eclipse 3.x. These are taken from eclipse 3.4 running on Mac OSX. If you are using eclipse 3.3 or flex builder 3, the interface you see may be different from this article.
Compatibility updated: red5plugin has been confirmed to work properly on Eclipse Galileo 3.5.
Step 1:
The screenshot above shows the new remote site dialog box. Fill in the following content:
Name: red5plugin 0.2.x (eclipse 3.2 +)
URL: http://trac.red5.org/chrome/site/projects/red5plugin/update_0.2.x/
Step 2:
Add update settings to the available software list.
In eclipse 3.3 or flex builder, we require you to select "Ganymede discovery site" and "The Eclipse project updates" before clicking "Next. When red5plugin is selected, You must select "select requeired" and all its Dependencies will be automatically selected.
This shows the screen at the beginning of entry. Here we should select the button for a new installation.
Step 3:
Select red5plugin and click "Install" on the right.
Step 4:
Click Next to accept the license and install the plug-in.
