Introduction to agile development tools scrum works (1)

Agile development is becoming more and more popular and more suitable for changing needs. There are also many agile development tools, such as versionone, mingle, and scrum works. I am using the scrum Works basic edition. Currently, it can basically meet the requirements. Scrum works pro is a commercial version with enhanced functionality.

1. Install scrum works

After downloading crumworks_000083_win, you can run the scrumworks server setup.exeto start the installation and download jboss-4.0.4.ga.zip. Because the speed of automatically downloading JBoss is relatively slow, we suggest you download jboss-4.0.4.ga.zip in the same directory as scrum works, and then start installation and installation.ProgramThe process of downloading JBoss is skipped, which is faster.

2. Scrum works Configuration

After the installation is successful, the default port is 8080, if you want to change to another port, you need to open the file: \ scrumworks \ Server \ scrumworks \ deploy \ jbossweb-tomcat55.sar \ Server. xml file to modify. For other configurations, use the default settings.

3. Run the client

Enter http: // localhost: 8081/scrumworks/in the browser to display the following interface:

The client supports two modes: one is client login, click <launch scrum Works basic Desktop client> to run the Client Program (Java support is required ), when you run it for the first time, you will be prompted to enter <license key>. You can download one from the scrum Works website. The default username and password are administrator and password.

 

By default, two examples sample1 and sample2 are provided. After you select one of them, the main client interface is displayed.

There is an unassigned product backlog on the right, which is classified by release version. The left side is the time-ordered sprint list and the corresponding sprint backlog. The left-side backlog and the right-side backlog can be dragged back and forth with the mouse as needed, which is very convenient.
