Swift is Apple's new development language, released in 2014 by the WWDC (Apple Developer Conference), which works with Objective-c on Mac OS and iOS platforms for building Apple platform-based applications.
It is reported that Apple's new programming language, Swift, has only been in use for less than 4 years from the start of development to the final release. The creator behind the language is Chris Lattner, director of Apple's developer tools Division, who says that most of Swift's underlying architecture was developed by one of its own, while only a handful of insiders were aware of the project during development. The development work starting from July 2010.
