Introduction to Wireless USB technology

Wireless USB is a technology used to connect some peripheral settings, such as printers, external hard disks, sound cards, media players, and even wireless video playback. You can implement this application in two ways. If your PC or related device does not support wireless USB technology, then you must install a wusbdongle to turn the standard USB interface into a WUSB (WIRELESSUSB) interface. However, if the related device is native support WUSB, then you will see the WUSB antenna on the product. According to the introduction, through a single antenna can be up to 127 peripherals at the same time.

WUSB the highest theoretical transmission speed is 480Mbps (60mb/s) as the USB2.0 interface, but this speed is related to distance. If the device is within 3m of the PC, the theoretical transmission can be realized. If the distance exceeds 10m, then the transmission speed will be only 110Mbps (13.75MB/S). It can be said that the farther the distance, the lower the transmission rate.

Bluetooth technology can also achieve two of devices between wireless data transmission. However, Bluetooth technology is mainly geared to some low-speed devices, the highest transmission rate of only 1Mbps (128kb/s) or 3Mbps (384mb/s), which depends mainly on whether Bluetooth is a generation of Bluetooth or second-generation Bluetooth. However, it is understood that the next generation of Bluetooth technology transmission rate will be the same as WUSB, but this technology has not yet been introduced.

The WUSB runs on UWB bandwidth (3.1ghz-10.6ghz), while the wireless Bluetooth frequency is 2.4GHz, the same as IEEE802.11 wireless network. The first time we heard about Wirelessusb (WUSB) was at the IDFSPRING200 convention, and the relevant display was not seen until IDFFall2008.

I'll bring you some wusb of the real columns below. If your PC doesn't support WUSB, then you'll need to buy one wusbdongle. In the picture below you can see what wusbdongle looks like.

As for other USB devices, you also need to "turn" them into wireless USB devices by using Wusbhub. The Wusbhub in the picture below is produced by IOGear company. The advantage of this product is that you can turn multiple USB interface products into a wireless USB product at the same time. Here I connect a printer to the Wusbhub. This makes the connection between the printer and the PC no longer necessary.

The WUSB allows the PC to connect to the monitor no longer needs to be done through the connector line. It was not long ago that Asus was the first to launch a liquid crystal display product that supported the WUSB interface.
