Introduction to General firewall setting rules for FTP servers

The general firewall setting rules for this FTP server apply to Windows (including server and desktop), Linux servers, and possibly other operating systems.

After the ftpserver is configured, the program that initiates the ftpservice (for example, windows's svchost.exe or FileZilla server.exefolder) is allowed to pass through the firewall without parameters.

Svchost.exe is an exception. You must allow the program to communicate through the Windows Firewall through the control panel to make the "Windows Service Main process" (svchost.exe, C: \ Windows \ System32 \ svchost.exe) firewall is allowed.
