Introduction to the MySQL database environment (3) [figure] 4. start and stop the MySQL service

The above uses bat batch processing to open a MySQL service, and the service runs in the command window. We can also start MySQL as a service. Use the following commands:

Net stop mysql

Net start mysql

Note that mysql after net stop and net start is the service name when the MySQL server is installed. this service is available only when the binary MySQL installer is installed, this service can be found in the Windows Service Management list.

The following is an instance for stopping and starting the MySQL service:

D: msyqlbin> net stop mysql

The MySQL service is stopping.

The MySQL service has been stopped successfully.

D: msyqlbin> net start mysql

The MySQL service has been started successfully.

The above explains how to use MySQL commands. we can directly create a MySQL database using the SQL statements in the demo. SQL file created in the previous lesson. However, we still have a more convenient way to use MySQL client software to create a database.

2.5.2 install MySQL client SQL-Front

To facilitate the management and browsing of databases, we use a MySQL client management software SQL-Front for management. this software is actually named after the new version of MySQL-Front. Its official website is sql-front_setup.exe”. the downloaded file is sql-front_setup.exe.

Double-click the installation file sql-front_setup.exe and click "next" to complete the installation. After the installation is complete, the "SQL-Front" item will be added to the "Start" menu. clicking its startup file will allow you to enter the information for connecting to the database, as shown in 2-12.
