Introduction to the development history of CAD

The year before, I found an e-book on the Internet that introduced the development of the CAD industry, "the enginnering Design Revolution", at http://www.cadhistory.net /. I think the content is wonderful. The author David E. Weisberg has been working in the CAD industry for many years. Based on his own work experience, he has read a lot of materials before writing this book.

Last year I re-read some chapters and came up with the idea of translating them to attract more readers. With the authorization of the author's email, I will post part of the translation chapter here with my blog. The first article is Chapter 18th of the original book, SolidWorks.
