Introduction to the IdM Downloader usage tips

With the IdM has been a while, and now share with you the IDM use of the skills.

1, the IdM can not be used after the prompt piracy
when your IDM is prompted for piracy, the download pops up the IdM and exits automatically.
We can use ALT + right click on the download address . This allows you to download it without calling the IDM.

2, close the "IEMonitor.exe" process
General IDM starts two processes by default.
respectively is "IDMan.exe", "IEMonitor.exe".
"IDMan.exe" is a key that cannot be closed by the main program process
"IEMonitor.exe" is to monitor the IE kernel Browser click event
Turn off the "IEMonitor.exe" process
On the IDM menu-Download-Options-general-monitor is based on IE Kernel browser . Just remove the hooks from here.

3. Set up temporary folder
the default temporary folder for the IDM program is set on the C disk, which will take up the space in the C disk.
In multi-threaded situations, temporary directories and saved directories are set up in different partitions.
In a single-threaded case, the temporary directory and the Save directory are set in the same partition.

4, set the IdM to a single thread download
personally feel the IdM multithreading and single-threaded download, the speed is not much different.
On the IDM menu-Download-Options-Connection-default maximum number of connections-set to 1

5, with the IDM download the file outside the wall
sometimes we get on the website outside the wall and want to download something. Click Download, find IDM cannot download.
Because only our browser over the wall, the IdM and Wood has a wall.
We've added the auto flip wall feature to IDM, and I'm using Gae (Goagent) myself.
On the IdM menu-download-Options-agent-automatic configuration script-fill in "Http://127.0.0.1:8086/proxy.pac"
"Proxy.pac" is synchronized with "Gfwlist.txt", so "gfwlist.txt" is not on the site. IDM is not allowed to go over the wall to download. If you encounter a Web site with "gfwlist.txt" walls, we can modify the "Proxy.pac" add rule under the Gae directory. and set the read-only property.

6. Backup IDM settings
Many of my friends ask me that it is troublesome to reset the IdM once every time you reload the system. Ask me how to back up the IdM settings. In fact, the IdM settings are saved in the registry as long as we export the registry. Re-install the system and then import the registration on the line.
Run "regedit"-"Hkey_current_usersoftwaredownloadmanager"-export.

7. Associated Browsers
IDM is generally the default associated browser, but some browsers are not associated with it. We can do this by setting the associated.
Downloads – Options-add browsers – Find your browser's main program
