The test module QtTest and the database module QtSql are relatively independent, more importantly, the Network Module QtNetwork and the graphic module QtGui are the important updates of Qt 5, QtQml and QtQuick. The top layer is the newly added QtMultiMedia multimedia module and the QtWebKit module above it.

For the entire framework, you can understand that the lower-layer modules provide support for the upper-layer modules, or that the upper-layer modules include the lower-layer modules. For example, the QtWebKit module supports both graphical interface components and network functions and multimedia applications. For other modules, we will not go into details here. Three new technologies constitute the Qt Quick user interface creation Toolkit: An Improved Qt Creator IDE and a new easy-to-learn language (QML) and a new module named QtDeclarative In the Qt library, which makes Qt easier for developers and designers who are not familiar with C ++.

However, in Qt 5, the previous QtQuick is divided into two parts: QtQml, which provides a QML language framework that defines and implements the language engine basics, it also provides APIs that are easy for developers to use to extend the QML language using custom types and integrate JavaScript and C ++ into QML code. Another part is the new QtQuick, which is a standard library for compiling QML programs. It provides all the basic types required to use QML to create user interface programs.

Qml and quick have been clearly separated in Qt 5, so that we can have a clearer understanding of this new technology. This is not so much a new technology as it is a new language and class library created by Qt. Please allow an unscientific example here: qml is like a C ++ language, in this case, quick is the Qt library, and Qt is a class library written in C ++, while quick is a class library written in qml, but in the qml world, there is no such name.

Based on QPA, QtQuick is encapsulated by QtGui, OpenGL, and Scene graph. We can see that the new QtQuick is built on OpenGL, the new Scene graph is used for graphic rendering. Obviously, QtQuick is used for graphic display.
