The Ljust () method returns the left-aligned string length width of a string. Padding is done by using the specified Fillchar (the default is a space). Returns the original string if the width is less than Len (s).
Grammar

The following is the syntax for the Ljust () method:

Str.ljust (width[, Fillchar])

Parameters

  • Width-This is the total length of the string after padding.
  • Fillchar-This is the padding, and the default is a space.

return value

This method returns the length width of a string that is left-aligned. Padding is done by using the specified Fillchar (the default is a space). If the width is less than Len (s), the original string is returned.
Example

The following example shows the use of the Ljust () method.

#!/usr/bin/pythonstr = "This is string Example....wow!!!"; Print Str.ljust (50, ' 0 ');

When we run the above program, it produces the following results:

This is a string EXAMPLE....WOW!!! 000000000000000000
