Introduction to the Web management interface of GeoServer and the Web interface of GeoServer
In my previous blog post, we introduced the installation of Geoserver in Linux. For windows installation, you only need to download the installation package and proceed to the next step. After installing Geoserver, open the browser and enter: http: // localhost: 8080/geoserver/web/to enter the web management interface. The default username and password are admin and geoserver:

DataRegionIt is the focus of our actual development:

  • Layer PreviewProvides a list of GeoServer layer configurations and previews in various formats. After further study, we have released a layer where you can choose to preview it.
  • Work ZoneSimilar to our workspace, the concept is similar to the project root directory we configured during other development, used for unified management of a specific task. Corresponding to the web Service used by GeoServer, it can also be understood as the root directory of a web site.
  • Data StorageIt is used to manage the data storage of GeoServer. We can understand it as a "Database" that provides data support for Web Services ".
  • Layers and Layer groupsAre used to publish and manage new layers, and organize and manage layers in groups.
  • StylesIs a style used to manage the release of GeoServer.

ServiceThis section focuses on advanced users who can modify the configuration of three request protocols provided by GeoServer.

  • The Web Coverage Service (WCS) is used to manage metadata information and configuration information common to WCS, WFS, and WMS, such as the maximum read/write value of data requests.
  • Web Feature Service (WFS) is used to configure and manage Feature Data, Service level, and GML output.
  • Web Map Service (WMS) is used to manage and configure grid data and SVG options, as well as slice Map compression and grading.
Title Caching: The tile tool selects seed in tilte layers. After the tile level is cropped, the tile data is saved in the Geoserver data folder, which is located in gwc under the data_dir folder by default.
Tile chart effects:
PS: If the gwc folder cannot be found after generation, change the web under D: \ Program Files (x86) \ GeoServer 2.5.2 \ webapps \ geoserver \ WEB-INF. in the xml file, set its GEOSERVER_DATA_DIR parameter to your data directory. This problem may occur in non-installed geoserver versions.
Change C: \ eclipse... to "D: \ Program Files (x86) \ GeoServer 2.5.2 \ data_dir", and then switch the tile again.
