Introduction to Windows XP SP3

XP SP3 is different from Vista SP1. It is not an integrated version, but a 330MB patch package (the same format as SP1 and SP2 ). The version is 5.1.2600.3180, and the file can be decompressed using winrar. SP2 is 5.1.2600.xpsp _ sp2.rtm. 040803-2158: Service Pack 2, while SP3's NTOSKRNL. EXE is 5.1.2600.2180.
Before installation, several HTML readme documents were found in the compressed package, but they still stayed on SP2 and were not updated. The installation process remains unchanged. It takes a long time to unpackage, create a Restore Point, and install it. After installation, restart the machine.

What are the updates?

It seems that the SP3 desktop is not different, and IE is not updated to IE7. It may be due to commercial factors. Version update: 5.1 (Build 2600. xpsp.070718-2058: Service Pack 3, v.3180), and NTOSKRNL. EXE is 5.1.2600.3180.

There are no rumors about new features about SP3, and I don't know exactly what I have updated. However, patches from SP2 must exist. The information we get about SP3 is really limited. Microsoft seldom mentions it, especially the details.
