More and more enterprises are planning to implement Unified Communication, mainly because it can bring efficiency and may reduce costs. According to a survey report released on Monday, although most of the current Unified Communication deployment work is still small-scale or limited, users have begun to find that unified communication has its own disadvantages: A significant increase in network traffic may reduce application performance and cause other problems.
A survey involving 576 Unified Communication users showed that 75% of respondents said that in the past three months, 1/4 of your network traffic is used in UC applications such as VoIP, Unified Communication, and instant messaging. This survey was conducted by Network General Corp., which investigates customers across the globe.
