Core i7-970 is manufactured using 32nm process, LGA1366 encapsulation interface, original clock speed 3.20 GHz, Turbo Boost dynamic acceleration up to 3.46 GHz, non-Core frequency 2.66 GHz, QPI bus frequency 4.8GT/s, level 3 cache 12 MB, thermal design Power Consumption 130 W, official thousands of wholesale price 885 USD.

Compared with the previous flagship ultimate version of the Core i7-980X Extreme, the new six-Core clock speed reduced by 133 MHz, QPI bus frequency also reduced by 1.6GT/s, and lock the frequency doubling, but other specifications are basically unchanged, the price is 114 US dollars cheaper.
