When declaring a property, in the header file:

@interface Myclass:nsobject

{

float value;

}

@property float value;

@end

In the implementation file:

@synthesize float value;

The @synthesize instruction is equivalent to having the compiler implement getter and setter methods for you, equivalent to:

-(float) value;

-(void) SetValue: (float) newvalue;

When there is an exception, it is when the attribute is a Boolean type.

In addition, if you only need to implement one of the getter or setter methods, then you do not need to use the @synthesize directive, only one of the two methods of appeal is possible.
