Irix is a UNIX operating system developed by the Silicon Valley graphic Company (Silicon Graphics Inc., general abbreviation: SGI, American graphics workstation manufacturer) based on System V and BSD extension programs, for the the most optimized application software for virtual reality environments. A: Experimental environment:
1. the operating system is IRIX64 6.5.22m

Two: Start Configuring NFS
1. activating the NFS service
First check to see if NFS software is installed in the system

◆ to open the configuration status for NFS
Chkconfig NFS On
2. Create an NFS shared directory (/share) and export
#mkdir/share
#vi/etc/exports
#cat/etc/exports
/share-access=suse1:suse2,root=suse1

Explanation of export options:
Suse1 and Suse2 can mount the shared directory, export read and write permissions for read and write, but only the root user of suse1 has administrator rights when operating the shared directory,Suse2 root user is mapped to a normal user
Note: If the export option has access to a host that is not written IP address is the form of host name, you must ensure that the hosts file has this hostname and IP address of the corresponding relationship, if not, it will not be exported normally

3. start the NFS service
IRIX Operating system default NFS boot scripts are integrated in /etc/init.d/network , so starting the/etc/init.d/network service can also start NFS Service, because the current network has been started, then the process of NFS services has been started, the process is as follows

Three: Verifying the configuration is mounting the test
1. If the client is also IRIX, then ensure that the system has NFS software installed and the configuration status is on (Chkconfignfs on) to start the NFS service (/ Etc/init.d/network start)
and ensure that the following processes are turned on
biod*
portmap* or rpcbind*
NFSD
where the nfsd and rpc.mountd processes can only be used when the machine is re-switched to the NFS server.

IV: Other sharing options

Explanation of export options:
1. all hosts can mount the directory, export read and write permissions to read and write,root user operation of the directory is mapped to a normal user
2. ADM1 and adm2 can mount the directory, export read-write permission for adm1 read-only,adm2 read- write, only root on ADM1 User has administrator privileges when manipulating this directory
3. Adm1,adm2 and adm3 can mount the directory, export read and write permissions to read and write,root user operation of the directory is mapped to a normal user
4. ADM1,ADM2,ADM3 and adm4 can mount the directory, the export read and write permission is read-only, the root user operation of the directory is mapped to a normal user
