As a committer who has been using eclipse, extended eclipse, and developed eclipse-based products since 2005, as a former two eclipse.org open source project, as an ongoing attempt at various platforms (Windows, Redhat, Ubuntu, MacOS), and various ide/editors (nodepad++, Vi, Emacs, EditPlus, TextMate, Sublime, Idea, Eclipse, Turbo C, Turbo Pasca L, Delphi) developers, I am sad to see people in the constant black eclipse, even if the majority is the same, it is like before Borland in a variety of development environment known in the world, a Microsoft fans named Forland (fuck Borland) and constantly in the major forums to pour the Borland of the various products like.
I want to ask, is eclipse really that bad?
I'm not against it. A depth user of a ide/editor hates other ide/editors, and in fact such people don't abuse other ide/editors. Those who are not familiar with what is not proficient in a group.
I don't want to talk about how good eclipse is, everyone has the right to choose, but remember, don't meddle in other people's choices.
1. No project has so many features like eclipse that it fits in so many directions.
2. No ide/editor like Eclipse can make you change from head to toe, or even rewrite, the only limitation is your own skill level.
3. No project like eclipse allows you to learn so much good code.
Since Eclipse, the ide/editor has been getting cheaper, even more free.
