Is it better for emule mods to live faster?

Usually not. The official version was compiled and tested over a long period of time, and modders often did not change the emule's core work in a short period. So it's not always possible for MoD to make a breakthrough in speed.

Mods may bring some new features, while some new bugs may have some characteristics that you like. But some mod may have negative features, or even damage the entire network's normal operation. These poorly crafted mod can not be used at all, and the official emule is trying to reduce the likelihood of the MoD's existence and to try to prevent such a mod in terms of security.
