I tried for N years and confirmed my optical drive failure.

I checked it from the Internet and it seems that everyone has this situation. After a while, it should be because the head has accumulated too much dust, so you cannot read the disk.

So I decided to clear the machine.

But it's a dead Mac. Why is your screw so tight? Obviously, I won't open it.

Tragedy: After trying for a morning, I finally gave up.

But do I have to give up windows in my system? What I learned before will not be wasted ......

So I went on to find a solution.

Some people say that they can use a USB flash drive to create a virtual optical drive, and then enable mac from the virtual optical drive to install the system.

I tried this method, but it failed. The final reason seems to be related to the number of drive letters on the USB flash drive. It seems that only the first drive letter can be used to start the system.

But the USB flash drive I got won't be able to make the first drive letter into a virtual optical drive. So, another tragedy ......

Then, after an hour of searching, you can find a method that seems to be feasible.

It's like this. If it doesn't work, it's a big deal to jump to Apple, and then programming the entire Mac.

Now let's go to the topic and talk about my methods.

First install these software on Mac, refit, Parallels Desktop6. bootcamp.

Install bootcamp or your Mac. PS: My system comes with me.

Okay, and then install refit. During installation, be sure to choose custom installation and install the driver.

Also, after installation, type CD/Ref/reflt in the terminal.

Note that there is a space before CD

After the restart, you will be able to see the reflt System Selection interface.

Now, go to Mac.

Install Parallels Desktop6.

Disable the Virtual Machine and set the hardware of the virtual machine.

Change the boot item to boot from the CD, and disable other boot items.

Next, set the data source of the optical drive and select the ISO image. This is the image of your Windows system. If it is the original system, you must use Vista or win7. If you have to use XP, you can only use ghostversion.

Restart the VM.

I use win7.

At this time, you will see the prompt, boot from CD ......

Press any key To Go To The win7 installation process. Select "Install" and "bootcamp" for the disk to be installed. Remember to select this option. Otherwise, it will be a tragedy.

Format the file.

Start the replication process.

Disable the VM directly when the VM is restarted after replication.

(Parallels Desktop6. A warning may be issued, so it will be OK if you release the service)

After the restart, we can see the win7 partition on the reflt startup interface.

OK. Select him to complete the installation process.

Then, the driver is installed.

First install bootcamp3.0 and then upgrade it to bootcamp3.1.

Then it's about windows.
