With PXE boot, we can easily use the network to maintain faulty computers. If we burn the winpe system integrated with PXE as a disc, this disc can be used to convert any computer into a PXE Server, and the maintenance process will be simpler and easier.

Software preparation:

1. net worm 2008 full version Maintenance Disk: http://go.icpcw.com/f/wangchong2008.htm

Integrated with PXE portable Disk

After the software is ready, we will use the full version Maintenance Disk of networms 2008 as the PXE master disk, and then use ultraiso to integrate the full version Maintenance Disk of networms 2008 into the master disk as the pxe_win7pe.iso.

1. Delete the original pxe_win7pe.iso file.

Run "ultraiso" and click "file/Open" to open the downloaded "networm 2008 full Maintenance Disk" (the "winpe" obtained after downloading and unzipping. ISO file), expand to "wc2008" in the left pane, and delete the "pxe_win7pe.iso" file in the right pane.

2. Reset "winpe. ISO" to "pxe_win7pe.iso ".

Decompress the extracted "winpe. copy and rename ISO as "pxe_win7pe.iso", return to the "ultraiso" window, and click "Operation/Add File". add the renamed "pxe_win7pe.iso" to the "wc2008" directory, and save and burn it as a CD.

Set parameters to create a server

After the CD is created, If you want PXE to start the faulty computer, you must first set the PXE Server.

1. Install the NIC Driver and manually configure file sharing.

After the server computer starts to winpe, double-click "enable Nic support" on the desktop and follow the prompts to install the NIC Driver of the current computer (if the NIC driver cannot be automatically installed, you can install it manually in the Device Manager ). After the NIC Driver is successfully installed, start "manually configure network" on the desktop, create an account and set the password as prompted, and then click "Start file sharing ". If you need to install win7 on a faulty computer, you only need to prepare the win7 installation file on the server computer. If you want to place the file on the M Disk, click "add" and set the sharing name to "win7 ", the shared directory is "M:", and then click "application" to set it to "share" (1 ).

2. configure network parameters according to the "server wizard.

Switch to computer and set the name of the current computer to china-20c804876 as prompted ". Double-click the "server wizard" on the desktop and click "Start win7 network server". The "hanewin DHCP server" that comes with the CD is automatically started and network parameters are configured.

Transfer the installation file to complete system installation

After the server settings are complete, ask the faulty computer to obtain the Startup file from the server to complete the installation.

1. Set PXE startup for the faulty computer to get the Startup File.

Now connect the faulty computer to the network and set it to PXE boot. After the computer is started, the startup file is automatically obtained from the server disc. In this case, click "TFTP" in the "hanewin DHCP server" window on the server ", you can see that the client is getting the "pxe_win7pe.iso" file from the server (2 ).

2. Install the NIC driver on the client and manually configure the network.

After the transmission is complete, the client can start from "pxe_win7pe.iso". After Entering the winpe, install the current NIC Driver First (this user also supports wireless NICS ). After the driver is successful, start the desktop "manually configure network", switch to "network drive", select "Z:" drive letter, path to "\ china-20c804876 \ win7 ", click Connect (3 ). Note that the "china-20c804876" here refers to the computer name of the server, "win7" is the sharing name of the server.

3. Copy the Windows 7 Installation File.

Then you can start Windows 7 installation (4 ).

Summary: Since all PXE settings and required startup files are on the CD, and the winpe started on this CD supports Network and sharing, in this way, we can use PXE to start any computer for maintenance. A faulty computer can use server resources at will. We only need to pre-place the maintenance tool in a directory on the server and set it to share it. After starting the faulty computer using the above method, we can use it at will.
