Java removes white space characters from a string

The trim () method of the string can only remove whitespace characters at the ends of strings, but the Fu Yi cannot be removed for other white-space characters such as \ t \ n, so a regular expression is used to remove the white-space character to which it is matched, and the code is as follows:

Protected string Replaceblank (String str) {        string dest = null;        if (str = = null) {            return dest;        } else{            Pattern p = pattern.compile ("\\s*|\t|\r|\n");            Matcher m = p.matcher (str);            Dest = M.replaceall ("");            return dest;        }    }
