JavaScript gets scroll bar position (compatible with all browsers)

There are two ways to get the position of the browser scroll bar

The first type: Document.documentElement.scrollTop

The second type: $ ("body"). ScrollTop ()

The first is compatible with Firefox and IE, but Chrome will always be 0, and the second will be compatible with chrome, but the values in IE and Firefox will always be 0.

So the most accurate way to take the position is:

if ($.browser.webkit) {    = $ ("Body"). ScrollTop ();} Else {    = Document.documentElement.scrollTop;}
