DOM Events
The common events in JavaScript are:
- UI events that occur when interacting with the browser UI itself, rather than the Web page.
- Mouse events that occur when the user is manipulating the mouse, trackpad, or touch screen.
- Keyboard events that occur when the user is manipulating the keyboard.
- A focus event that occurs when an element (such as a link or form) Gets or loses focus.
- A form event that occurs when a user interacts with a FORM element.
- A change event that occurs when the user modifies the DOM structure (adding or deleting element nodes).
How DOM events trigger JavaScript code
Object has properties, methods, events
They are essentially the same thing: Property = Method = Event.
Events, methods, properties, events trigger methods, and methods change properties.
In layman's terms, events trigger JavaScript.
The process of triggering is this:
1. Select elements
2. Specify elements
3. Calling code
Three types of event binding elements
1. HTML Event handlers
2. Traditional DOM event handlers
3. DOM Event Listener
