Here, for example, the JDK 7U15 installation under the Windows x86 platform is similar to other platform installations.
Download JDK See: JDK Latest download Address "with Download method"
After the ①jdk 7u15 download is complete, it is an executable file, as shown in the figure:
② Double-click to run the installer, the following interface appears:
③ Click "Next" and the following interface appears:
④ can see that the JDK contains Java development tools, source code (base Class library), and public JRE, all of which are installed by default and are necessary for Java development. Here, you can change the installation directory for the JDK. Select a good installation directory, click "Next" to enter the installation interface:
When the ⑤ is complete, the following interface appears, the JDK installation completes, prompting you to install the JRE (for the differences between the JVM, JRE, and JDK, see: JVM, JRE, and JDK differences):
Here, it is generally installed in the C disk, that is, the default installation path. Because the "C:\Program files\java\jre7\lib\i386\jvm.cfg" file is required to install Eclipse, the JRE cannot find the file when it is installed on another disk, and Eclipse cannot install it. This is also the point to be emphasized in this tutorial.
After the ⑥JRE installation is complete, the following interface appears:
⑦ Click the "Close" button to complete the installation of the JDK.
⑧ installation is complete, you need to configure environment variables, please refer to: JAVA/JDK environment variable Configuration
