After the reconsideration process, the j2se/J2EE Standards Board again voted on the JSR-220 (JDO 2.0) technical specifications. Unlike public review ballot, which was held on April 9, January 19, the vote was successfully passed. After the results of the public review on January 19 were announced, the JDO community (and many people outside the Community) shouted and demanded a review vote and informed the members of the Executive Committee of their opinions. The JDO Expert Group also clarified the applicability of JDO 2.0 and EJB 3.0 entity beans in response to the negative vote, which prompted more Members to change their opinions. Some members of the Executive Committee said that most of the Members who voted against JDO in the public trial did not oppose JDO itself, but did not know the relationship between JDO 2.0 and EJB 3.0 Entity Bean. |
As JDO continues to exist, how does Sun feel that sun has taken the lead to vote in favor of several people. Look at IBM, JBoss, and Oracle. I don't understand Sun. Since ejb3 is available, why should I keep JDO. Why can't EJB be fully integrated with heavyweight and lightweight components.
