Microsoft Office provides a compression function for the inserted picture, which makes it easy to compress some format pictures to reduce the size of the resulting file. Figure 1 shows the Compress Pictures button and the Compress Picture dialog box on the Picture toolbar in Word.
Figure 1
In the use of Jinshan WPS, the discovery of WPS does not have this function, it is regrettable. But we can use other ways to compress the pictures in the WPS to make the file smaller.
First, let's look at how this method changes the size of the file after the image is compressed. As shown in Figure 2, the contrast between picture compression and the size of two files before compression is obvious.
Figure 2
The above example is a compression of the two images in the inserted document that are bitmap pictures (. bmp extension). Different format of the picture, the volume changes after compression is not the same, compressed image quality will also be reduced.
Next I tell my friends how I am in WPS to achieve the compression of the picture.
First, in the edited document, insert the picture you want. If the picture in this format is large, we can compress it to reduce the size of the file.
Next, cut the picture you want to compress, and then select Edit → Paste on the menu toolbar, as shown in Figure 3:
Figure 3
When you select the Paste-only command, the Paste Selective dialog box pops up, selecting picture (jpg format graphic) and clicking OK to complete the compression of the picture. See Figure 4:
Figure 4
Perhaps you already understand why the picture is compressed, in fact, the format of the picture in the document is converted. Choose a different picture format, and its compression ratio is different, you can choose to convert to other formats as needed, such as PNG format, GIF format, and so on.
