. Closest (selector)

Description: for each element of the set, get the first element that matches the selector by testing the element itself and TRA Versing up through it ancestors in the DOM tree.

Instructions for use:

For each element in the collection (set), the first element that matches the selector (selector) is obtained by traversing up the element itself and its ancestor elements in the document tree.

Example:

<ul  style= "Float:left" >   <li >       <table>          <tr>            <td>            This is <span>[Span]</span> party.            <div>1                <div>2                    <article>                <span id= "Third" >3                <div>4                     <div >5</div>                </div>                </span>                </article>                </div>            </div >            </td>          </tr>       </table>   </li></ul>
