jquery officially released the next phase of jquery's roadmap, which shows that jquery 1.8 will be released within one months, while other subsequent versions are scheduled as follows:
JQuery 1.9 (early 2013): This version will remove all unused interfaces in version 1.8, others may be used as plug-ins or optional APIs, and will continue to support IE 6/7/8
JQuery 1.9.x (ongoing in 2013 and beyond): This version will continue to fix bugs that occur in 1.9
JQuery 2.0 (early 2013, not long after 1.9): This version is compatible with the 1.9 version on the API, but no longer supports IE 6/7/8
I think, do not support IE6 also line, will unexpectedly IE6 should be eliminated, the general trend. But does not support IE8 this thing, must many people all use is the XP Ah, the XP many "advanced" user all upgrades to IE8.
