JSF Interface Component Suite richfaces 3.3.1 GA edition released.
May 20, the RichFaces team announced the release of RichFaces 3.3.1GA edition. The new version contains a number of new components, provides better stability, and fixes at least 1100 bugs. Also, there is a new photo album example for learning and building applications.
new Components and features:
Several new components have been added to version 3.3.1. The most anticipated are the new layout (layout) components, as well as new topics. The team also added a rich:colorpicker/label to the release package.
layout Components and topics
1. The use of rich:page/tags makes it easy to set up the page structure, such as Heaer, footer, content, and sidebar.
2. rich:layout/and rich:layoutpanel/Such cascading pages use Yahoo's UI CSS grid to provide more flexibility.
The team has also added a new concept theme (themes), which is a predefined and packaged layout, and can interact with the labels mentioned above. This makes it easy for the developer to debug the layout, just like using skins (skin) to replace the look feel (appearance). They also created Maven's archetype and CDK goals to simply create your own theme. For more details please refer to: Layout design wiki and richfaces development guide
bug fixes and stability
As mentioned above, more than 1100 bugs have been fixed, see also: Release Notes.
The team has also expanded its automated test software based on selenium* and strengthened its stability, enabling the project to forge ahead with high quality and operating environmental coverage.

The development team is preparing a full photo album application demo. It contains a drag-and-drop, file upload, and WYSIWYG editing components. They will soon be posting a version of this demo online, you can focus on the project homepage, or pay attention to their twitter:richfaces Twitter
