Jump from multiple Android activities and passing Parameters

Mainactivity open otheractivity:

Intent intent = New Intent (getapplicationcontext (), otheractivity. Class );
Startactivity (intent );

 

Mainactivity transmits parameters to otheractivity:

 

Intent intent = New Intent (getapplicationcontext (), otheractivity. Class );
// The following two parameters are passed for otheractivity:
Intent. putextra ("name", "eboy ");
Intent. putextra ("Age", 22 );
// You can also use bundle to transmit parameters.
Bundle bundle = New Bundle ();
Bundle. putstring ("name1", "eboy1 ");
Bundle. putint ("age1", 23 );
Intent. putextras (bundle );
Startactivity (intent );

 

Otheractivity receives parameters from mainactivity:

Intent intent = getintent (); // Intent object used to activate it

String name = intent. getstringextra ("name ");
Int Age = intent. getintextra ("Age", 0 );

Bundle bundle = intent. getextras ();

String name1 = bundle. getstring ("name1 ");
Int Age1 = bundle. getint ("age1 ");

Textview = (textview) This . Findviewbyid (R. Id. othertextview );
Textview. settext (name + ":" + age + "/" + name1 + ":" + age1 );

 

If mainactivity requires that some values be returned when otheractivity is disabled, you can use startactivityforresult to open otheractivity. You will learn more about it later.
