Juniper SRX Firewall operating system software upgrades

SRX operating system software upgrades must follow these steps:

1. Management Terminal Connection SRX console port, facilitate the upgrade process to view the device restart and software loading status.

2. Open the FTP service on the SRX and upload the downloaded upgrade software media to the SRX via the FTP client using a non-root user with superuser privileges.

3. Before upgrading, perform the following command to back up the old software and settings:

User@host> Request System Snapshot

4. Load the new SRX software:

User@host>request system software add validate filename.tgz reboot

5. After the software load succeeds, the SRX will automatically reboot, after the reboot completes examines the system current software version number:

User@host> Show System software
