There are three things that have the meaning of life. They are the motivations for all things in your life, including everything you do and what a living body should do.The first is survival, the second is social order, and the third is entertainment.. All things in life develop in this order. After entertainment, you will have nothing to do. Therefore, in a sense, this means that the meaning of life is to reach the third stage. Once you reach the third stage, it will be successful. However, we must first go beyond the first two stages.

Let's talk about the war. Obviously, it originated from survival because there was a tall guy between you and the water. Later, you had to fight with that guy for a wife. Then it becomes a social order. The war was like this for a long time before the world began.

War is a means to establish social order. But it is also a means to shape people into a part of social order.

How does technology enter the social order stage?
In fact, the main purpose of industrialization is to survive or to survive better. For example, to make a car, it means to make a faster and more beautiful car. Then the technology has reached the social stage. Now we have a call. To some extent, TV is also available. Many early TV programs were designed to brainwash the masses. The same is true for radio stations. Many countries often invest in radio stations for reasons of social order. Then, I went beyond that stage. Today, TV is obviously mainly for entertainment. Now you can see mobile phones everywhere. Mobile phones are basically still at the social level, but they are also developing towards entertainment.

What will happen to the future of technology? We have gone beyond the survival stage and are now in the social stage. Is that true?
Yes. In the past, all technologies were designed to make life easier. It is to quickly reach a location, make the goods cheaper, and live in a better house. So what is the difference between information technology and past technologies? What will happen after everyone establishes a connection? What else can we do? Of course, the connections between people can be well established, but basically there is no difference with the past. So where will technology lead us? In my opinion, the next huge step is towards entertainment.

What we call is very macro, but we are not only referring to people, but also to life. It is similar to Entropy Law. According to the entropy law of life, everything will go from survival to entertainment, but this does not mean that there is no regressing in a certain part of the area, and there is no doubt that this situation exists in many places. Sometimes things are split apart.

Everything is moving in one direction, but it is not synchronous. Therefore, basically, sex has reached the entertainment stage, war is approaching the entertainment stage, and technology has reached this stage. New things begin to survive, such as space travel. At a certain stage, they aim to survive, then become a social order, and finally achieve entertainment. You can look at civilization from the perspective of worship. I mean, civilization also appears in the same pattern. Civilization was first designed to survive. For example, if people get together, they will survive better, and thus establish a social structure. Finally, the existence of civilization is purely for entertainment, and of course it is not completely pure, and there is nothing wrong with such entertainment. The ancient Greek people are famous for their strong social order, and they also have a lot of entertainment. Everyone knows that this era has created many first-class philosophers.

 

Linus's theory of "survival, social order, and entertainment" has not been elaborated in depth, leading to some inaccessibility issues. However, I like his saying about technology. The next technological change may be entertainment. From the operating system perspective, Windows is the most commonly used series, the earliest is dos, it can also meet a lot of people's needs, of course, the entertainment function is quite simple, then Win 95, WIN 98, Win 2000, Win XP, Win 2003, win Vista, win 7 (of course there is omitted in the middle ). In the changes to these versions, the entertainment function is enhanced step by step. Even during the installation process, it also says how powerful its entertainment function is. The operating system has gradually changed from its original application to a part of the splendid entertainment.
