Kaspersky, a famous Russian anti-virus tool, recently released the latest Chinese version: Kaspersky 6.0. What kind of surprise does Kaspersky bring to us in the face of increasingly complicated virus threats?
Kaspersky provides a four-dimensional defense system. Currently, almost all types of security threats can be effectively protected by Kaspersky:
1. File Protection, the most traditional anti-virus function.
2. Email protection. Email viruses are already common and keep you away from email viruses.
3. Web anti-virus protection. The network is the main source of today's virus transmission. It is necessary to strengthen this function.
4. Active Defense: The biggest highlight of Kaspersky 6. It will analyze the behavior of applications installed on your computer and monitor changes in the system registry. These components use heuristic analysis to promptly discover hidden threats and various types of malicious programs.
Of course, there is a price behind the powerful features. I recommend Kaspersky 6 to a few friends. The same response is: this version of Kaspersky is quite unavailable, the main problems are as follows:
1. High resource usage. Kaspersky really makes the system super "card ".
2. There are too many prompts for "virus", which is really annoying.
What's going on? The following is a brief answer:
1. High resource usage, strong software functions, and increased resource usage. Currently, when Kaspersky has all the four protection functions available, the resource usage is high.
2. There are many prompts, because Kaspersky now provides comprehensive security protection. That is to say, some tips have nothing to do with viruses and can only be used as a reference for anti-virus. Common users do not have to worry about them.
It seems that Kaspersky 6 is an anti-virus software that needs to be carefully configured. Let's take a closer look at the optimization settings of Kaspersky 6 with the author.
After Kaspersky is installed successfully, the software Icon is displayed in the system taskbar, right-click the icon to call, 1.
Figure 1 select "Open Kaspersky Antivirus Software 6.0" to go to the software main interface, 2.
Figure 2
Kaspersky's main interface is relatively simple. It consists of two windows: left and right. The left window is the navigation bar, which helps you quickly find and run the program module, execute the scan task, and obtain the program support; the right window is the notification panel interface, which displays the information about the component you selected in the left window, you can also use this window to scan viruses, isolate files, back up files, and manage license files.
Note: All underlined characters in the program can be clicked to enter the relevant settings.
To enable software efficiently, you must set the software properly. Click "Settings" on the right of the main window to go to the software settings page. All the content below is centered on "Settings.
Kaspersky 6 has made many changes to the definition of "risk software", which can be divided into three types:
Figure 3
1. viruses, worms, Trojans, and rootkits programs.
2. spyware, advertising software, and dialing software.
3. Potentially dangerous software: remote control software and prank programs.
It can be seen that the wide definition of "risk software" also means that the system's alarm probability is increased. Besides the 1st categories, the categories are mandatory, and whether the 2 and 3 categories are enabled, it depends on how you choose.
For example, I downloaded a Chinese version of software on the Internet. As we all know, many Chinese versions of software are now bundled with "rogue programs". Now they become invisible under the monitoring of Kaspersky. No, the system automatically prompts a warning: the advertisement program is detected. The original installation program contains a famous Chinese rogue program, 4.
Figure 4
If you are afraid of this, I'm afraid you are not planning to install this Chinese software. Click "delete. Of course, you insist on installation. Please click the "add to trusted area" link. The system will automatically go to the "excluded content" dialog box and click "OK.
You can set a project that does not need to be monitored by the Software. Click "Trust area" in Figure 3 to go to 5.
Figure 5
Some programs defined by the system as dangerous software may not have malicious features and we still intend to use them. In this case, we may add these files to the exclusion list. In the dialog box, you can view all the current exclusion items. You can also add custom exclusion rules. It can be a folder, file, or even a specific type of risky software definition.
Click "add" to enter the "excluded content" dialog box. You can see that the text in the rule description is underlined. Click to enter custom settings, 6.
Figure 6
Step 1: click "Object Name: specified" to create the exclusion file, 7.
Figure 7
You can specify the file name, folder name, or keyword to set exclusion protection. Of course, you can simply click "Browse" and select excluded folders and files. However, you can also try the keyword method:
*. Exe: exclude all *. exe files.
C: dir *. exe, excluding all files with an extension name of .exe in C: dir.
Step 2: click "decision type: specify" to create a decision type, 8.
Figure 8
All the information that can be filled in is the name defined inside the software, for example, not-a-virus: AdWare. Win32.Dudu. c. Of course, if you do not understand how to fill it out, the following rules are suitable for everyone.
Not-a-virus * is used to exclude potentially dangerous programs from scanning, such as joke programs.
* Riskware. *, which removes the risk software from the scan.
* RemoteAdmin. *, exclude all remote control programs from the scan.
In Kaspersky's four-pronged defense system, file protection, email protection, and Web anti-virus are more traditional anti-virus methods. I will not introduce them here. You can determine whether to enable them based on your own needs, I will focus on the settings of "active defense.
Kaspersky's active defense, simply put, is to protect the computer from known threats and unknown new threats. It consists of four main projects: program Activity Analysis, program integrity protection, registry Protection, Office protection, 9.
Figure 9
"Active Defense" protects against unknown viruses, so false alarms are inevitable. Although the program does not define a suspicious program as a virus, it keeps warning users that there are suspicious programs, which is enough to make general users dizzy, 10. "Program Activity Analysis" in "active defense" is the source of frequent warnings.
Figure 10
After I started "Program Activity Analysis", I had to go online for just 20 minutes and encountered a warning of no less than thirty times. For example, if you run the famous QQ coral version plug-in, the software will prompt a dangerous process trying to inject another process, 11.
Figure 11
For "active defense", especially "Program Activity Analysis", whether to enable it, the author's suggestion is: you have a certain degree of computer base and are very concerned about security, so you may wish to start it. If you don't know much about your computer and don't know how to handle alarms, disable this function.
Summary: As you can see, Kaspersky's settings are quite free and simple. You can set them based on your own situation. As long as you make appropriate settings, you can say that unless a virus is found,
