Cause: Microsoft released the TCP/IP update Patch (kb967723) on September 23, September 9. If the server enables automatic updates or the software for Automatic Updates is downloaded and updated, this problem occurs. Some may ask why the patch on the 9th has not been detected yet? As we all know, the server does not restart every day. Some servers may restart once a month or a year or a half. Some may restart the server after January 1, September 9, so the patch takes effect (I personally think so ).
Symptom: Can't connect to MySQL server on 'localhost' (10061)
Solution:
Old method: uninstall kb967723 Patch: log on to the server, go to control panel-add and deleteProgram-(Check "show updates" at the top.) You can see the updated kb967723 patch in the patch. Uninstall the patch just like you want to uninstall common software. You will be prompted during the uninstallation, if uninstallation may cause an error in the program running, it does not matter. Select "yes" to continue uninstallation. After the uninstall is complete, the program server is running normally!
New Method: provided by Microsoft... This section, method, or task contains steps that tell you how to modify the registry. However, if the registry is modified incorrectly, serious problems may occur. Therefore, be sure to perform these steps carefully. Before you add a secret to the Registry, back up and modify it. Then, you can restore the Registry when a problem occurs. The default maximum number of temporary TCP ports is 5000, which is applicable to the products included in this section. Add a new parameter to these products. To increase the upper limit of the temporary port, follow these steps:
1. Start the Registry Editor. (START-run-Regedit)
2. Locate the following subitem in the registry, and click the parameter HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SYSTEM \ CurrentControlSet \ Services \ Tcpip \ Parameters.
3. Click new in the editing menu, and then add the following registry key: Value Name: maxuserport
Value Type: DWORD
Value Data: 65534 (decimal)
Valid range: 5000-65534 (decimal)
Default Value: 0x1388 (5000 decimal)
Note: This parameter controls the maximum number of ports used by the program to request any available user ports from the system. Generally, a temporary (short) port is allocated between the value of 1024 and the value of 5000.
4. Exit the Registry Editor and restart the computer.
Or download the following file and run it.
