Keep and close the Excel data link update prompt

It is quite common to link data from other workbooks in an Excel workbook. But every time you open a workbook like this, Excel automatically pops up a "Do you want to update the data Link" prompt dialog box, which is annoying. Let's just let it "disappear" and update the data link automatically.

Click the edit → link command to open the Edit Link dialog box. Click the "Start Prompt" button and select the "Do not show this warning, but update links" option in the pop-up dialog box. Return to the Excel main interface, click Tools-Options command, and in the Edit tab, clear the Request Automatic Updates link check box, and then click OK to return. This way, the annoying dialog will never appear again, and Excel will automatically update the data link for us.
