This book focuses on the causes of cognitive and implementation gaps, and provides solutions.
Reason 1: Too much information is ingested and does not know how to filter
Listened to a lot of new things, but did not summarize them. So it turns out that you don't "learn" new things all the time, but you don't use them in your life. And listen to too much, until you want to use the time and do not know where to start.
Personal experience:
- I can find a lot of books and videos when I search for learning materials. I had a rough look at it, and they had a lot of intersection. If I had to digest all of them, I would waste more time. The equivalent of spending 70% of the time to get the last 30% of the content. Of course, it's also possible that 30% are not.
- There is so much information now that there is no time to read them all over again. It's like I've got a lot of stuff in my various cloud disks, but I've never seen them. Each time is to see this information good, save it, think of waiting for the free to see again. But this "free" moment has never come.
- Too much intake of this knowledge will make me "more and more shallow". Now I am this situation, learning the coverage is very wide, but not the same can be taken out of the shot.
- Because there are too many things involved, it is often three minutes of heat, each of which will leave the field after a period of time. This leads me to start all over again every time I pick up this knowledge point. It's wasted a lot of time and it doesn't make sense. (This is in later interviews by an interviewer, and I am now constantly reflecting on myself) or because there are too many things to learn, I had to give up something in the middle, but after a period of time again to pick up.
Solution:
- To think and repeat at intervals
The legendary rehash, regularly take out the contents of the previous study to re-learn again. The so-called restudying. The focus is on thinking * * and repeating * * *.
- You have to decide what you want to learn first.
Few but good, to have depth.
- Plan:
The first weekend of each month is to review and reflect on what you have learned before, and postpone it for a week if the weekend is too late; practice and review words and grammar repeatedly until you can communicate with others.
Cause 2: Negative filtering leads to less absorption of knowledge 10%
When you have negative thoughts about something, you are essentially rejecting the idea of absorption and perception. But due to the influence of the growing environment, this kind of negativity needs to be overcome by the day after tomorrow.
Personal experience:
- I am not going to discuss it actively when I discuss it with my husband, especially when he points out my shortcomings. Instead of passively filtering these issues, it eventually leads to a lot of frustration for Mr, and I don't really filter these issues well. This leads me to make mistakes on the same issue often.
- In the process of learning, you will also encounter such problems. For example, when I am learning a new knowledge, once I feel that the current method is useless, I will be very repulsive to this way. Even give up this way directly. That's why I often can't stick to the same thing. Doing it doesn't make sense.
- Whenever I come into contact with something new, I instinctively postpone or reject it. For example, when I was asked to make a change, I almost refused. As well as a temporary invitation to some activities, I will ask for a delay in the time of the activity.
Solution:
- Actively listen to
A person who accepts a thing usually has to go through six contacts, which will make your attitude from rejection to acceptance. So not only to listen to different voices actively, but also to think over and over again.
- Use green light Thinking
When touching a new thing, consider the benefits of acceptance with a positive attitude. After thinking, use a negative attitude to think about the disadvantages.
- Plan:
Whenever new things come into contact, think positively about the benefits they bring, and then consider the adverse effects, and appropriately place yourself in an area of mental discomfort, accepting challenges and embracing change.
Original cause 3: No follow -up
After learning new things, in the follow-up life and work, and do not use these new things. But to maintain their old habits and behaviors. The equivalent of just a reserve of theoretical knowledge, but not to practice. In fact, such "learning" is meaningless.
Personal experience:
- When I learn the knowledge of application classes, I tend to watch videos or books. But after the end of the finished, and in the follow-up work to practice and apply these methods. This leads to the time when I want to use this knowledge, because forgetting always has to start from the beginning. It is a waste of time and inefficient. And often is to read the book and put down, so cycle, in fact, nothing learned.
Solution:
- Guiding support accountability
First demonstrate how to operate, and then let the learning of the person to operate, and then to his good place to praise, do bad place to give correct.
- Emphasize the positive side
Give people more encouragement and support.
- Plan:
Practice and practice the same knowledge point over and over again until you have mastered it, give yourself encouragement appropriately, consider setting a certain reward, reward yourself after accomplishing your goals, and often praise and encourage others whenever they give me help and surprise, set their own requirements in seed habits, and sign up every day to motivate themselves. Record your own problems and corrective processes, always reflect on them, write the book, and discuss progress with others.
