Recently you need to share some files with a small number of files. It used to be a way to map network drives, but later found that many people always forget to disconnect after mapping, which sometimes causes others to be unable to connect to the server because of the number of connections, on the other hand, when the server is closed, if the mapped drive is not disconnected, Will cause the computer to be very card (although many people do not mind this problem).

For the above reasons, I decided to replace a shared file method, which should have the following characteristics:

1. With the use of the connection

2. Easy to set

I thought of the FTP sharing file method, so I searched the following from the Internet, found the following method:

Want to share a large number of files/folders over the local area network in your dorm? Want to be at home through network cable can achieve file exchange visits? Family group trouble. That'll teach you a trick. Win7 new features-Build your own FTP server.

First, Control panel-Programs-turn on or off the Windows feature, or search the Start menu for "Open or", pop-up windows features, and check the FTP features and Web Administration tools under Internet Information Services to open the service:

"Note: The Web administration tool must be selected and all expanded to be selected, otherwise only the FTP feature cannot continue to invoke IIS Manager"

then click OK. Well, it'll have to wait a few minutes. Take it easy.

For a moment we are in Control Panel-system and security-admin tools, or search the Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager directly at the Start menu

"Note: The administrative tools appear only after the previous open function, otherwise the Start menu search cannot be searched." 】

Open the ISS Manager, right-click your server, and select Add FTP site:

Then add your FTP site name and choose the path you want to share:

Go on. IP Address Select your intranet IP, drop-down menu will be automatically listed. Port defaults. Check "Automatically start the FTP site, the SSL option is not available or allowed." "

Next. Select Anonymous access and select the users that are allowed to access as required. Select whether to allow read and write as required.

"Note: In general, Win7 users uploaded to the Win7 under the FTP server file more than the 30MB,WIN7 server because the load is too heavy caused the drop line, and XP users do not have to worry about such problems, the reason for the analysis may be due to Win7 too high priority, The transfer consumes all of the server's bandwidth and causes server resources to run out. So try to choose not to allow write "

Finally in the Control Panel-system and security-allowed programs, check the FTP server and tick "home/work" and "public":

Done. Open the browser, enter your internal and external IP, your own FTP build success.

"Tip: If you can't get in, turn off Windows Firewall." This method only applies to the local area network, the external network constructs the FTP, needs to use the third party software "

If you encounter any problems in use, please leave a message, we discuss together.

After the creation is successful, you can see the shared file in the Windows Resource Manager by entering the ftp://server IP address.
