We can see that the data survey report is very exciting. In particular, You can note that the support for open source databases in Asia and the Pacific is significantly higher than that in other regions, it has reached 50%. These surveys are about CIOs. 50% of CIOs in Asia are willing to migrate their databases to open-source database platforms. Some CIOs are willing to transfer their platforms to MySQL. Our data shows that 17% of CIOs surveyed are willing to select MySQL.

Why have MySQL open-source and other open-source solutions gained so much favor and continue to maintain this rising trend? This is because open-source solutions can help them save a lot of costs. Which of the following users are using MySQL? Ranking first is that e-commerce accounts for nearly 25%, followed by data warehouses and internal enterprise applications. In addition to these emerging applications, mySQL is also applied in traditional database application industries such as ERP, billing, and user account management.

Here, I also want to introduce the situation of MySQL in China. Now we are working with Turbolinux, which is our gold partner in China. We started to cooperate with Turbolinux four months ago to establish a R & D center in China. Since Turbolinux engineers have rich experience in high-availability software, the first cooperation project we selected was the MySQL cluster. We have a long-term integration with the R & D center for R & D in China. First of all, from the beginning of cooperation, we just asked them to help fix some bugs. I learned this morning that they completed 40 bug fixes within three months, and the speed was very fast. Although the bug fix is completed, you need to learn about the core code in the process and prepare for subsequent R & D work. Engineers from the R & D center are working on new development features. To help Chinese users better use MySQL, we have established a support center with Turbolinux for fully localized support services.

Our product mainly includes the following three types: MySQL Network, which provides 24 × 7 service. The second product is MySQL Cluster, which is a highly reliable data solution. In China, there are already senior technical support talents in this field to support the work in China. The third product is MySQL license cial licenses. We sell the MySQL Commercial edition license in China. MySQL is an open-source database, but its license has something special. If other vendors want to embed MySQL in their products, they must purchase a commercial license from MySQL. If a vendor embeds MySQL in a hardware device or application, you must purchase a commercial license.
