There are hundreds of worksheet functions available in Excel that we can choose from. If you know the name of the function you want, but you can't remember all of its formatting, then we can use the keyboard shortcuts to paste the parameters into the formula bar.
Type an equal sign in the formula bar, enter a function, press CTRL + A, and pop up the formulas Palette, which shows the name of the selected function and each parameter. Add the required arguments to the Open dialog box, and when we pick any one of the arguments, we'll see an explanation of it in the dialog box. This method is useful when you use a function that is easily memorized and has a long string of arguments.

If you don't know that Excel provides those functions, or can't remember how the function is written, you can view it in the following way. Click Paste function on the toolbar to paste the Function button button to eject the Paste Function dialog box. We can select the function category in the left-hand list box, select the function name in the right-hand list box, and a line of small print appears below the dialog box, prompting the function and function.
