's mail system is very important to the success of the company, sales pay depends on the rapid and reliable customer contact, the other departments are also very dependent on the mail system to complete the communication around.

Experimental environment:

The company built the internal 100MB LAN at the time of creation. Headquarters using the DDN line connected to the Internet, the branch connected to the use of ADSL dial-up connection to the Internet, in the head office and the branch of the use of VPN to communicate; The server is Windows 2003, and the client is using Windows XP Professional, the latest Office 2003 has been installed, but our company has been using corporate mail from our ISP to complete mail communications, but the total space is only 300MB, not enough to meet the needs of all users. Employees often complain about the slow rate of receiving mails and the frequent collection of spam, which is more cumbersome to maintain.

Experiment Objective:

Because of the need for a reliable, scalable messaging system, so that people across the country can communicate at any time, Xian Lingyun chose Exchange 2003 to build their own mail communications system to meet the company's internal mail and internal mail communication needs.

Experiment steps:

1.1.1. Requirements for installation;

Requirements for hardware:

Must be a 133Mhz or faster processor in the Intel X86 series, a minimum of 128 memory, 500MB of available disk space on the drive on which Exchange is installed, and a system with 200MB of free space.

Operating system requirements: must be Windows SP3 or SP4 windows2003;

1.1.2. preparatory work;

Install the Active Directory service and the DNS service; (you are prompted to install DNS when you install the ad Active Directory, and if you do not select Automatic installation we can manually add the DNS service.) ）

1.1.3. Start the Exchange Deployment Tool place the Exchange 2003 installation CD in a CD-ROM, and the installation deployment interface for Exchange 2003 will automatically start as shown in Figure 1-1:

Select the Exchange Setup process in the Exchange Deployment Tools interface, select the interface as shown in Figure 1-2 by selecting the Exchange deployment based connection; Of course, in the interface shown in Figure 1-2, we can choose the actual operation according to the actual situation;
