When editing a document with Kingsoft WPS text, if the document needs to add a background, you are laboriously searching for a menu item command to add a background in the WPS text. However, you will be disappointed because the WPS text does not have a menu item command to add a background directly to use.
Today I'll introduce two ways to add a background to a document in WPS text so you don't get frustrated.
Method One,
1, click on the menu bar "view → header footer", at this point, the cursor will be positioned in the header editing area.
2. Select the Rectangle tool in the Drawing toolbar and draw a rectangle in the header edit area, as shown in Figure 1:
Figure 1
3, with the mouse to drag the rectangle's border, to change the size of the rectangle just painted good, so that it covers the entire page. After that, right-click on the rectangle and select the Format Object menu item command from the pop-up right-click menu. See Figure 2:
Figure 2
4, in the pop-up Set Object Format dialog box, click the Fill Color Drop-down box, where you can choose to set the rectangle's fill color or fill effect. See Figure 3:
Figure 3
5, if you only need to add background color to the document, then this step is not needed, this step is to add other types of background (such as pictures, textures, etc.).
Select the fill Effect command in the Color Drop-down list in step 4th to set the rectangle fill effect in the Fill Effect dialog box that pops up: color gradients, textures, patterns, pictures.
I add a texture as an example, select a texture in texture for paper grain 2, and then click OK. See Figure 4:
